The largest 55+ community, and is actually a city itself. This is the oldest 55+ community, but it offers the most amenities and 8 different golf courses. There are multiple sister communities of Sun City, and the further west you go, the newer the Sun Cities are. The original Sun City will be the lowest priced 55+ community and the most central.

 

 

There are two Trilogy communities by Shea in the Phoenix area. Trilogy at Vistancia and Trilogy at Power Ranch. Both are luxury 55+ communities with incredible scenery and beautiful home styles. Vistancia in particular has a gorgeous landscape with tree lined streets and mountain views all around. The two community centers are top of the line.

 

 

This luxury 55+ community offers new homes with modern interiors and surrounding views of the white tank mountains. The community has many different build styles to choose from and it is next to Verrado which is an all-age community. This is great for those who want a high end community, with top of the line golfing, and stay close to the rest of the city.

 

 

Sun Lakes is similar to Sun City but in the far East valley.  It has many clubs and amenities with numerous neighborhoods to choose from. Home prices can vary from low end to luxury depending on the community. It offers 3 different community centers and 5 golf courses. It is well set up for the size of the community with a great ability to build resident relationships.
